Description:

Monsters of HipHop has become the world leader in creating job opportunities for commercial dancers. Our mission is to bring hip-hop dancers together with the industry's top dance professionals in a fun and challenging environment that fosters self-fulfillment and career development.

Interns have the opportunity to:

• Increase their skills and knowledge of business management
• Travel the country for Monsters Dance events
• Work closely with Monsters staff and choreographers
• Earn potential college credit (if arranged and allowed by University)
• Receive complimentary travel and food while at Monsters functions
• Benefit from a mentor/supervisor's experience and advice

Learning Objective:

Monsters interns will gain the opportunity to put into practice and enhance the skills they have learned while in school. Our interns will acquire the perspective of a work environment, learn administrative and management skills, as well as become a member of the Monsters family.

Responsibilities:

• Be available to attend most (preferably all) Monsters functions for the 2012-2013 Tour 
• Assist in the registration/check-in process
• Customer Service
• Capture video and photos at events
• Aid in Club Stylz (taking tickets, lining up performance groups, etc.)
• Coordinate and place lunch/dinner orders at events
• Help sell merchandise
• Assist in the administrative duties (at events, and during the week if needed)
• Help with data entry
• Other additional duties may be requested as needed.

Requirements:

• Be at least a second-year undergraduate student
• Own or have easy access to a computer
• Be available for travel on the weekends of Monsters events
• Possess strong verbal, organizational, and written skills.
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Be highly motivated
• Have transportation to and from airport
